for our english readers:
(A hommage to Robert Frost and tribute to my favorite english poem „Stopping by the Woods on a Snowy Evening“)
Winter’s Comfort
The winter’s sun shines cold and pale,
Damp shadows cling to hostile walls;
All life on earth begins to stale,
Ghosts entertain in empty malls.
I try to find the coldness‘ thrills
By spending for my heartache’s cure;
Can’t find it on those snowy hills,
Just in the shopping-window’s lure.
On frozen paths deep in December
to frolic in the winter’s treasures,
As unspoilt child – I do remember
Now seeking warmth and Starbucks‘ pleasures.
